Do I have to be a church goer or a “Christian” for my kids to come along to Kids Club?
The short answer is no! Kids from any background, ethnic origin or religious upbringing are welcome – as long as they are aged between 5 & 10 years old.
How much does Kids Club cost?
Kids Club is absolutely and totally FREE. All the running costs are covered by Bridge Community Church and all the workers are volunteers from the Church.
Do you have a child protection policy?
We take the welfare of your kids very seriously. Bridge Community Church operates a Child Protection Policy that is approved by the Churches Child Protection Advisory Service. A key part of this policy is the appointment of Kids Club workers which only takes place once a “disclosure” from the Criminal Records Bureau has been obtained. We also maintain registers of attendance & injuries during Kids Club. Full details of our Child Protection Policy can be obtained on request.
Do you have a discipline policy?
A key aim of Kids Club is to teach children to behave in a way that is respectful to others. We operate a discipline policy during Kids Club that is based on respecting:
1. The leaders (no talking when leaders are talking & no arguing with the ref)
2. Each other (no fighting or hurting each other & no swearing or name calling)
3. Property (no dropping litter & no spitting)
This policy is implemented by the Kids Club team who use prizes to commend good behaviour and yellow and red cards to punish bad behaviour. If a child receives a red card they will be removed from Kids Club and will have to sit with a designated person in the main church meeting until the end of the morning.
